Here's something a little embarrassing to admit. You can spend an entire day being present, moving slowly, doing all the right things, and still be completely out of your body the whole time. Just a floating head, managing everything from the neck up.

That's what this one is about. The quiet gap between knowing you have a body and actually living in it. The way we drift upward into our thoughts and plans and worries, and how strange it is to suddenly realize we've been gone.

May this be the moment you stop visiting your body and start living in it.

START HERE: TODAY’S 10-SECOND MIRACLE

Put one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly.

Feel your own breathing for ten seconds. The breathing that's been happening without your permission all day.

It's been doing that this whole time without you.

WAIT, WHAT? SCIENCE SAYS…

Psychiatrist and researcher Bessel van der Kolk spent decades studying trauma and the nervous system and arrived at a conclusion that quietly upended a lot of how we think about healing and wellbeing. The body keeps the score, as he put it, meaning that our experiences, especially the difficult ones, don't just live in our memories. They live in our tissues, our posture, our breathing patterns, the tension we carry in our jaw and our shoulders and our hips.

But it goes beyond trauma. Research in somatic psychology shows that the body processes emotional experience before the conscious mind does. The tightening in your chest before you know you're anxious. The heaviness in your limbs when you're grieving something you haven't named yet. The restlessness that shows up in your legs when something in your life needs to change.

Your body is not overreacting. It is reporting accurately on things your mind hasn't caught up with yet.

The takeaway: presence isn't just a mental practice. It requires the body. And the body, given a little attention and a little kindness, turns out to be one of the most honest things about you.

PAUSE. BREATHE. RETURN.

3 to 8 minutes

Quick and Dirty (3 min): Do a quick scan from your head down to your feet. Where are you holding tension right now? Just notice. You don't have to fix it.

Go Deeper (5 to 8 min): What has your body been trying to tell you lately that you keep overriding? The tiredness you push through, the tension you ignore, the feeling in your gut you rationalize away. Write it down. Let it be said.

TODAY'S WELLNESS PARTNER: ORGANIXX

The Mineral 80% of Anxious Americans Are Missing

If your mind won't stop racing at 11pm — or you wake up already braced for the day — there's a good chance your magnesium is tapped out. It's the mineral your nervous system uses to power down, and 4 out of 5 Americans don't have enough of it.

Here's the catch: most magnesium supplements use one cheap form your body can't fully absorb. That's why you can take it nightly and still feel wired.

Organixx Magnesium 7 delivers all 7 forms your brain actually needs — for a quieter mind, deeper sleep, and steadier mood.

MINDFUL MOVEMENT

The Three Minute Body Scan

We forget we know how to check in.

Just visit. We'll spend three minutes going somewhere we've been ignoring all day: the body that's been quietly carrying us through everything.

Try this:

  1. Sit or lie down and close your eyes if that feels comfortable.

  2. Start at the top of your head and slowly move your awareness downward. Scalp, forehead, jaw, neck, shoulders, chest, belly, hips, legs, feet.

  3. When you find somewhere that's tight or uncomfortable, breathe into it once. Just to say: I see you. I know you're there.

  4. Keep moving. You're not trying to fix anything. You're just visiting.

  5. End at your feet. Feel them on the floor. Notice you've arrived.

Why it works: Most of us only notice our body when something hurts loudly enough to interrupt us. This scan turns the volume up on the quieter signals. The jaw you've been clenching, the shoulders you've been raising, the breath you've been holding. Awareness alone is often enough to begin releasing it.

DAILY COSMIC WEATHER REPORT

What the sky’s doing whilst we move about below

The Moon continues waning through her releasing phase and there is something fitting about that energy for a day spent turning inward. Waning moons are for letting go, and the body tends to hold on to things long after the mind has moved on. Today is a good day to notice what you've been storing.

Mercury in Taurus is doing its most grounded work now, past the intensity of Monday and Tuesday, settled into the slow deliberate thinking that Taurus does best. This is good energy for body awareness, for noticing physical sensation without immediately needing to explain or fix it. For just being in the thing you're in.

What this means for today: the sky is asking you to come down from your head and into your body. Not as a wellness exercise but as a homecoming. You have been up there long enough. It is safe to come back down.

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

Red Jasper gets its deep earthy color from iron oxide, which means it is literally made of the same stuff as the ground beneath your feet. For centuries it has been associated with physical grounding, embodiment, and the steady kind of strength that comes from being fully present in your own body rather than hovering somewhere above it.

Unlike stones that lift or clarify, Red Jasper feels solid. Weighty in a reassuring way, like a hand on your shoulder that says you are here, you are real, this is where you belong.

This is the stone of coming home.

Of feeling your own weight on the earth. Of remembering that your body is not an obstacle to your life but the entire location of it.

Tr y this: hold it in both hands and press your feet into the floor at the same time. Let the weight of the stone and the weight of your own cccbody remind you that you are not floating. You are here, you are grounded, you are made of the same ancient matter as everything else that has ever existed on this earth.

Reach for it when:

  • you feel disconnected from yourself

  • your thoughts are louder than your senses

  • you have been living in your head for so long

  • you've forgotten you have hands

  • you need a reminder that the body is not something to manage but somewhere to live.

SACRED CIRCLE REFLECTION

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION

Let it land when you’re ready.

DAILY GRATITUDE MOMENT

Today, be grateful for something your body does without being asked.

Your heart beating. Your lungs filling. Your eyes adjusting to the light when you walk into a new room. Your immune system quietly handling things you will never know about.

Your body has been working on your behalf every single moment of your life and you have almost never had to think about it. That is not nothing. That is actually extraordinary.

CLOSING BLESSING

"The body is a multilingual being."

— Clarissa Pinkola Estes

May you find your way back into your body today, as many times as it takes.

May you treat it less like a vehicle you are driving and more like a home you are living in.

May you hear at least one thing it has been trying to tell you, and may you take that thing seriously.

You are not just a person who has a body. You are a body that is somehow, miraculously, also a person. Go gently into your Wednesday.

MEME OF THE DAY

P.S. We made this because most spiritual content made us feel like there was something wrong with us for being tired, messy, or not “high-vibe” enough. If this made you feel a little more human today, that's all we wanted.

💌 Pass it on

Know someone who lives entirely in their head? Send this their way. Gently.

📬 We love hearing from you

Tell us one thing your body has been trying to tell you that you keep ignoring. We'll keep it between us.
